A Better Education
Many schools in the surrounding area are struggling. Discipline, culture, and academics are slipping in many local schools. Children are ignored and standards are not met.
Too many students fall behind in reading and math and never catch up. They are unprepared for middle and high school and in turn continue to struggle and become discouraged by school altogether.
At Ascension, we help children grow. We continually see students grow in their faith, their social skills, and their education. We have seen proven results in our students demonstrating excellence in reading and math. Our staff are committed Christians living out their faith inside and outside of the classroom. Our weekly chapel serves as a central aspect of our spiritual growth focusing on God’s Word and Promise.

Lutheran education has a rich and proven history in America. With over 175 years and countless graduates, Lutheran education continues to focus on the foundation of Jesus Christ and the Gospel. Since the Reformation, Lutherans have emphasized strong families, strong churches, and strong communities. This strength does not come from ourselves but through the Word of God. Our religious curriculum dives deeply into the Word and continually builds on the faith fostered in the home. We welcome all students to apply to Ascension. There are no religious requirements, nor hoops from the State. Many Indiana residents will find that they are eligible for Choice Scholarships which greatly reduce or even eliminate tuition cost.
Ascension has an accredited curriculum through the LUMIN Schools program that meets rigorous standards. Our teachers utilize several strategies for learning success including online resources and in-classroom technology. Beyond the basics of reading, writing, and arithmetic, students engage in history and social studies, art and music, physical education and the ever important RECESS!
